Privacy

PDFPrivy is built around one promise: your files never leave your device.

Your files stay on your device. Processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

How it works

Every PDF operation runs entirely inside your browser using local, in-page processing. When you pick a file, your browser gives PDFPrivy a local reference to it. PDFPrivy reads the file bytes only to perform the operation you chose, then writes the result back as a file you download. Your document bytes are never uploaded or sent over the network.

What we never send

  • File contents
  • File names
  • Thumbnails or previews
  • PDF metadata

Analytics

The MVP ships with no analytics. If we ever add usage measurement, it will be limited to coarse, non-identifying event counts (for example, “a merge completed”) and will never include anything about your files.

Ads and cookies

PDFPrivy may show ads to keep the tools free. If ads are enabled, our ad partner may use cookies or similar technologies to display and measure them — but they never receive your files or their contents. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland you’ll be asked for consent before any personalized ads; in the US, including California, you’ll be able to opt out. See the Cookie Policy for details. (TODO: pending legal review.)

No account, no server

There is no sign-up, no login, and no backend that stores your work. Closing the tab clears everything.

Privacy questions

For support, feedback, or privacy questions, email contact@pdfprivy.com. Please do not send sensitive documents or PDF contents by email — your files are processed locally and never need to be sent to us.
