Crop PDF
Trim PDF page margins with numeric controls and a first-page preview. Process all or selected pages locally in your browser, without uploading your file.
Your files stay on your device. Processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
How to crop PDF pages and trim margins
- Select your PDF — drag it into the drop zone or click to browse.
- Enter top, bottom, left, and right margins in points, or choose a margin preset. Check the first-page preview.
- Leave Pages blank to crop every page, or enter a range such as 1-3, 5.
- Click Crop PDF & download, then save the result. Cropping changes the visible area; underlying content remains in the file.
Why local processing?
Crop PDF processes your file inside your browser, on your own device. Your document is not uploaded to our servers. The browser may download code needed to run the tool, but those requests do not contain your file.
Check it yourself: open your browser’s network tab while a file is being processed — your document never appears in any request.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my document uploaded for cropping?
- No. The preview, margin adjustments, and the final save all run in your browser. Watching the network tab during a crop shows no file data leaving your device.
- How large can the file be?
- Each file can be up to 200 MB. Processing happens in your browser and also depends on available memory. Large or complex files may be slow or exceed your device’s resources even below this limit.
- Is cropping GDPR-sensitive scans OK from a privacy angle?
- The operation is entirely local: no server-side processing, and no copies anywhere but your device.
- Does cropping delete the content outside the frame?
- Not necessarily. Cropping adjusts the page’s visible area; content outside it may technically remain in the file and could be restored by other software. Do not use cropping to remove confidential information.
- Can I trim only selected PDF pages?
- Yes. Enter page numbers or ranges such as 1-3, 5 in Pages. Leave it blank to apply the same margins to every page. Unselected pages keep their existing visible area; the preview shows only the first page.
- What units do the crop margins use?
- Margins use PDF points: 72 points equal one inch. Enter a non-negative value for each edge or use a preset. The margins must leave a visible area on every selected page.
- Does cropping change the file size much?
- Usually only a little — cropping changes what is visible, it does not re-compress or remove the page content.
