Convert a PDF to PowerPoint locally
Need a PDF as a starting point for a slide deck? PDFPrivy can turn each PDF page into a PowerPoint slide, locally in your browser.
This is an experimental tool and the layout may vary. It is best thought of as a way to get your pages into PowerPoint to build on, not a pixel-accurate converter.
Steps
- Open the PDF to PowerPoint tool and choose a text-based (born-digital) PDF.
- Pick an export mode. The recommended visual-first mode places each page as an image on the slide and puts the extracted text into the slide’s speaker notes.
- Run the conversion — you get one slide per page in a 16:9 deck.
- Download the .pptx file and open it in PowerPoint or a compatible app.
- Adjust slides as needed; the page image gives you a faithful reference to rebuild from.
Your files stay in your browser
The conversion runs locally in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to our servers and no account is required.
Text extraction reads the PDF’s existing text layer on your device; this tool does not use OCR.
When to use this tool
- You have a born-digital (text-based) PDF and want a slide-per-page starting deck.
- You want the original page preserved visually as a reference while you rebuild content.
- You prefer not to upload your document to an online converter.
Limitations and honest caveats
- It is experimental and the layout may vary — this is not a layout-accurate PDF-to-PowerPoint conversion.
- Figures, charts, tables, and formulas are preserved visually in the page image, not rebuilt as editable PowerPoint objects.
- It does not use OCR. For scanned or image-only PDFs, use the Scanned PDF to PowerPoint tool instead.
