Split PDF

Pick pages or type page ranges, then export them as a new PDF — all in your browser.

Your files stay on your device. Processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Select your PDF — drag it into the drop zone or click to browse.
  2. Pick pages in the grid or type page ranges like 1-3, 7.
  3. Click Split to export the selected pages.
  4. Download the new PDF containing just those pages.

Why local processing?

Split PDF processes your file inside your browser, on your own device. Your document is not uploaded to our servers. The browser may download code needed to run the tool, but those requests do not contain your file.

Check it yourself: open your browser’s network tab while a file is being processed — your document never appears in any request.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF sent to a server when I split it?
No. The pages are extracted by a PDF engine running inside your browser tab; your document never leaves your device. Open the network tab while splitting — you will see no file data being transferred.
Is there a size or page limit?
Each file can be up to 200 MB. Processing happens in your browser and also depends on available memory. Large or complex files may be slow or exceed your device’s resources even below this limit.
Can I split contracts or records that contain personal data under GDPR?
The extraction happens on your machine only. There is no server-side handling — nothing is stored, logged, or retained anywhere — which keeps documents with personal data on your device.
Do the extracted pages keep their original quality?
Yes. Pages are copied as-is into the new file: selectable text, images, and vector content are preserved without re-compression.
Can I split a PDF into multiple separate files at once?
Not in one run — the tool creates one new PDF from the pages or ranges you select (for example 1-3, 5, 8-10 become a single file, in order). To produce several parts, run it once per part; your document stays loaded in your browser between runs, so nothing is ever transferred anywhere.
